Candy Mafia Say What

Has YG fall victim to their own doing finally? Many fans have accepted sampling as the only way most artist can make music but it still sucks.YG’s 2NE1 is extremely popular and most likely have small fan followings in other neighboring Asian countries.I find this act of fandom quite ironic and just to hilarious to pass up.Thailand girl group Candy Mafia hearts 2NE1 style and 4minutes dance moves. For their single “Mafia” it seems that 2NE1 song “Fire” has fallen victim to copycats or something more serious copyrights violations.

The song “Fire” is originally produce by Teddy Park the former boy band hip hop leader of 1tym.He’s been spending most of his days knee deep in producing tracks for 2NE1 and their solo songs along with Tae Yang up coming new album. In the past YG was accused of plagiarism when “I Don’t Care” struck a nerve with Sony.Candy Mafia song “Mafia” just might struck a nerve with YG and it’s devoted fans. The song “Mafia” sorta has the same “feel” as “Fire” but two people from different parts of the world can look the same. That doesn’t mean its the same person most likely a long lost evil twin.Candy Mafia has made a mockery of 2NE1 vocal style and imagery. The girls aren’t doing such a bad job if I may add. This could be a sign that 2NE1 is famous or just an easy target.

The girls impress me when they mock 4minute “Muzik” and “Hot Issue” really had the dance moves down to every step.Even when 2NE1 first debut didn’t quite had it all together like the rest of newbie female idol groups. Then again 2NE1 was doing their own dance moves and did not karaoke their way to the top of K-pop charts.

Honestly copycatting Korean idol groups maybe a bad idea but most likely will sell for now. There’s the question if Candy Mafia will ever get their own style? Are they meant to be another cash cow for a desperate label?

I hate Candy Mifia!! This is just plain piracy. Now music and movies are not the only ones being pirated, even image and style is being pirated too. Where is the originality man where is the art in this. This sucks!! they should do something about this to shut those fake mafias up.

Before you all go on about them being copycats
the MV was produced by SM
and they used the choreographers of 4 minute
and so many other countries are beginning to use the ‘Korean’ style
    because it sells
in Thailand for example, more and more people prefer Korean artists to their own
and while I’m not trying to make excuses
I understand why management are trying to use the ‘Korean’ style

I don’t think anyone has the right to complain. If you think they’re copycats, then be my guest. It’s not like they’ll do you any harm. If it’s a “plain piracy” as you say, then I’m sure that this case would be in court right now… seems quiet… if there are people copying, it’s also a good news for Korea since it clearly shows that they’re popular… but then again it depends on people’s point of view… when there was that issue about some singer saying Girls’ Generation’s “Tell me your wish” got pirated, I was totally pissed off at that whatever her name is singer… well… best of luck 🙂

Well, these Mafia girl are just only 13-14 years old of age and they won the Japan-Korean Dancing competition in Thailand before they become real artists. They also work really hard and reherse heavily. The fact is that the the team producing the MV is from Korea and that he also made MV for 4 Minutes so manything are very similar.

Korean songs area also a mixture of copy from many sources but Korean are good at improving from the sources they copy and make it like their own.

I support the girls anyways, judging from thier hard work at this very young age.

When I watched the Teaser, I had a large WTF moment. I mean, sure, the music industry is beginning to to lack originality, but really? Really? Now Thais are starting to come in?

It was too close to 2NE1. The reason why 2NE1 has so many fans is because they are unique (and now don’t come up to me hating on SNSD, in fact; don’t bring SNSD up, they have NOTHING to do with this). I mean, if anyone tries copying 2NE1, it will be too obvious, so therefore, Candy Mafia made this obvious.

I think that many people won’t like them, especially 2NE1 fans. I already get the wrong impression from them here because all their music sounds like they ripped it off of other artists. In fact, their style looks like something the belongs in a 2NE1 Music Video.

I’m not Thai or anything, heck, I’m not even a 2NE1 fan, but if they are going to make a girl group, at least come up with something more…well, different. One more thing, um, they’re not the greatest looking. To be recognized in the music industry, they require someone pleasing to look at. Which a few members seriously lack here.

Being inspired is almost near to being copycat. It’s huge success to Korean music that inspired many teenager to become like them. I think it’s a good thing

Now seems like Candy Mafia is trying to answer the question that been asked to them :
“There’s the question if Candy Mafia will ever get their own style? Are they meant to be another cash cow for a desperate label?”

I found out that they just released a new single…and it does not look like any Korean artist or music clip. They found their own style. They are improving.

Why is it like ‘that country and that country’ are copying koreans? Koreans take ‘inspiration’ from many other stars.so what’s the big deal? <.< people are always shitting on non-korean pop group's that look's similar to k-pop'ers.and you don't have to hate them, only because they are copying your favorite group.
