Back in March of last year LG launch a campaign in South Korea for “Lollipop” phones which developed into huge sales. With the help of a well-known boy band Big Bang and up in coming girl group 2NE1 the jingle “Lollipop” was sensational. Both artist is under YG and the song was produced by Teddy Park (1tym).LG wants to emulate the same success but not in South Korea in China.Instead of teaming up with YG they decide to go with SM rookie female group F(x).The girls are known for being a Korean group but two of its members aren’t Korean.Amber who is Taiwanese and Victoria who is Chinese.SM is known for entering the Chinese market with SNSD,Super Junior and TVXQ.F(x) and Chinese pop group M.I.C will be promoting the 2nd generation of LG “Lollipop” phones for China. This means a whole new theme song and MV so check it out.
I’m kinda confuse cause Teddy was so proud over his “Lollipop” song but really seems nothing more than a hook jingle. The new version to me is better and way more catchy verse the Korean.Maybe its the chipmunk James Brown sample in the beginning that is winning me over.Someone comment this as the producer/composer/entertainment agency who has created F(x)/M.I.C version of “Lollipop”
