What is this bad news day for me? President of J-One entertainment(Japan) Johnny Kitagawa has release a statement claiming that Kat-Tun Jin Akanishi is leaving the group.According to him Akanishi has “graduated” from the group and will pursue a solo career.
Since May Akanishi has been abroad living in the U.S.Preparing for a 7 city solo concert tour for September and October.Akanishi has already perform solo concerts in the U.S since June.Kitagawa rest assured that Kat-Tun will continue as a five man band.No need for a new member or a name change.This seems fair verse balancing Akanishi training and solo activities.Allowing the following members of Kat-Tun to continue without interruption or long hiatus.Kitagawa stress he doesn’t want Kat-Tun to be a life line if Akanishi fails as a soloist.

When I first heard this, it didn’t exactly surprise me. I always knew Akanishi wanted to branch out and go solo. However when he did leave my interest in KAT-TUN like died…It’s weird though because my fondness for KAT-TUN was never based on Akanishi.
